Have you come to Gelsenkirchen because of the 2006 FIFA World Cup™ or do you live here and don’t want to miss out on all the events? Have you got your digital camera with you, ready to re-cord the matches and the special atmosphere? Are you interested in meeting other young peo-ple, not just from round here, but from all over the world? Do you want to have a great time? If the answer’s yes, then the Pixel Café is the right place for you!
The cultural centre ‘die flora’ is centrally situated on the busy thoroughfare which runs from the mainline railway station, through to the 2006 FIFA World Cup™ FAN FEST site and up to the stadium. ‘die flora’ offers organized trips around the region and digital photography workshops to anyone who’s football crazy or mad on photography. Meet your kind of people here, surf the Internet or simply just enjoy the café atmosphere - chats and discussions, films, concerts from garage punk to numbers from musicals and ....... WORKSHOPS! Work alongside people who are on your wavelength, edit your pictures on a PC, print them out and produce your own digital World Cup display. The technical equipment can be used outside of the workshop hours too. So, see you in the Pixel Café!
