Shopping in Gelsenkirchen

Foto: Bahnhofstraße

Gelsenkirchen offers wide-ranging and diverse shopping opportunities not only along the city centre Bahnhofstrasse shopping mile and on the High Street (Hochstrasse) in Gelsenkirchen-Buer, but also in the pleasant ambience of several other shopping regions in the city.

For the past 30 years, events on the streets of Gelsenkirchen have been delighting young and old and adding to the shopping experience. There’s the Augustinus market, Martins market, jazz days, the Gelsenkirchen Week, the Buer Music Night, art and handicraft markets, Sunday opening, City Fair and of course, the Christmas Market.
